“- Rosemary, do you believe in the power of the butterflies?"
- No, Steven, my whole life I’ve been a caterpillar…
.................................................
"How does one become a butterfly?" she asked pensively.
"You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar."

You must be willing to break the cocoon...whatever the cost...and fly.

I haven't read it. I just made some research on the internet
and I liked this part .........
" It can't be true! How can I believe there's a butterfly inside
you or me? Do you need to die to become a butterfly?"
"Yes and no," the gray caterpillar said. "This may look like dying
but actually you will still live. Life is changed, not taken away.
Isn't that different from those who die without ever becoming
butterflies?"
While reading I was thinking that is in a way the opposite
of the "Metamorphosis" , Franz Kafka....
but I can't be sure.

No caterpillar will make it.
Because caterpillars spit silk.
They die in the cocoon and someone takes the valuable material for money.
Cocoon is valuable for the butterfly's life.

Honestly, I did'n know that!
I took the first line out of a movie, a comedy one, something with a devil's son who was good in heart, the answer is mine (what a brilliant person am I

), and the second little dialogue out of internet, of cource (searching for the movie! :lol
What's the title and the author of this book anyway? Can you give it to me? Just in case, you know

Thanks Dardy!
I have no filmnet any more. I saw the movie long time ago, perhaps on filmnet.
It was "Little Nicky" (2000) with Adam Sandler (I found it, at last!)

In greek translated "The devil's son"

I did the subtitling for it for NET, a couple of years ago.
I remember it well....
Not a comedy at all...
Bittersweet drama, rather!

Bitter drama is the fact that butterflies, caterpillars, cocoons, and everything else is burnt.
One must have the chance to make a change and only then one might change for better and not for worst

Is it all about sacrificing? One has got to sacrifice what he/she is to become something else.. But is that “something else” better? I guess it’s more of a rhetoric question…
God grand me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference..
